Find Jobs

Long gone are the days when finding work was restricted to hearsay, referrals or the local newspaper.  The job market is now a completely ‘open’ and accessible arena thanks to the rise of job boards and digital media, which yes, does come with many positives.  But this bombardment of options can often leave job seekers feeling overwhelmed

Do I register for job alerts with every company I’m interested in, and potentially wait many months for an opening to be announced?  Do I wade through numerous job boards, hoping all are ‘real’ and active?  Or do I upload my CV to a job board and hope someone calls me with the perfect role?  Unfortunately, it’s not that easy.

Remember, employers will have exactly the same choices as you, so they too could be overwhelmed with the various advertisement options out there.  Clients want simplicity, and knowing that a professional team of recruiters are out there finding the most appropriate candidates for their roles, without having to spend hours of their time sifting through (potentially) hundreds of CVs.  That's why it is so important to engage with an agency that specialises in your area of expertise.  They will have strong professional relationships with many local and city businesses, and may even be aware of vacancies that never reach the open market.  Remember, an agency has a reputation to uphold. Reflect well on them, and this will lead to increasingly better chances of them landing opportunities for you.

Finding work is difficult, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work out the first time.  Think positively and remember every experience is an opportunity to learn, grow and practice your delivery.  Best of luck from all at Kings
